I was in the grocery store yesterday and found a Better Homes and Gardens publication called Beds and Borders. It has 38+ garden plans that are comprehensive including climate zones and Latin plant names/species. I am mixing and matching some of their recommended plants to create my own look for my front walk. I'm going through it little by little because there is a lot to cover and it can seem overwhelming but the format is really easy to follow and there are photos of each design, including sketches.
